Solva Systems › Plumbers
Job management software for plumbing companies.
Call-outs and installations are two different businesses running out of the same van. One system that understands both, built around how yours actually runs.
Book a conversationWhat usually goes wrong
Plumbing is two businesses at once. Reactive call-outs need speed and a clear picture of who is nearest. Installations need staging, materials and payment schedules. Most software is built for one of those and makes the other awkward.
- Emergencies wreck the plan. A burst pipe reshuffles the day and nothing else updates, so the rest of the schedule quietly stops being true.
- Parts get bought twice. What was on the quote never quite becomes the order, and the shortfall is bought at merchant prices on the day.
- Installations have stages, software has jobs. First fix, second fix, sign-off and the payment attached to each are not the same as one job with a date.
- Call-out pricing is done from memory. Out of hours, weekend, the first hour and after: it is all in somebody’s head and it is not consistent.
- The van never tells the office anything. Work done, parts used and the next visit are all reported at the end of the week, if at all.
What we build instead
Fenwick Heating on our home page is the same shape: the day, the engineers, the money, and a job that carries through to the invoice without being retyped. A plumbing company gets that engine with the call-out and installation sides built for how you split them.
Emergencies that reshuffle properly
Drop an urgent job in and the day rearranges around it, including what has to move to tomorrow.
Installations with stages
First fix, second fix and sign-off as real stages, with the payment attached to each one.
Parts that match the quote
What was priced becomes what is ordered, and what was used comes back off the job.
Call-out rates applied for you
Out of hours, weekend and hourly bands applied consistently rather than remembered.
The van reports itself
Work done, parts used, photos and the next visit captured on site and in the office instantly.
Invoices that chase themselves
Raised from the job as it finishes, then chased without anybody doing it.
Why not one of the off-the-shelf ones
If you are mostly reactive call-outs, the trade apps do that well and cheaply, and we will say so. The strain usually shows when installation work grows into a real part of the business and it is being tracked in a spreadsheet beside the job software.
| Team size | Typical per-seat tool | Over three years |
|---|---|---|
| 5 people | around £40 a seat | about £7,000 |
| 15 people | around £40 a seat | about £22,000 |
| 30 people | around £40 a seat | about £43,000 |
The question is not whether the licence is cheap. It is what you are working around every day, and what that costs you in evenings. Work out your own three year figure.
How it works
We learn how you actually run. Usually a couple of calls. If it suits you we will come and spend a day watching the work move through the company.
You see it before you pay anything. We build the opening screens in your branding, with your words for things and demo data in them. Not a finished system, enough to see the shape of yours and tell us where it is wrong.
Then we build the real one. The monthly starts and takes three to six months depending on how much system there is. Every fortnight you are told where it is up to. One fee covers building it, running it, hosting it and improving it.
Worth a conversation about how your week splits?
