Solva Systems › Dental practices
Bespoke software for dental practices.
The diary, your patients, recalls that send themselves, treatment plans that do not get lost halfway, and a clear view of what the practice earned. Built around how your surgery runs.
Book a conversationWhat usually goes wrong
Practice software is a crowded market and most of it is capable. It is also mostly built to one shape, and a practice that mixes private and plan work, or runs more than one surgery, spends its days working around the parts that do not fit.
- Recalls go out when somebody has time. Which is not the same as when they are due, and it is the quietest way a practice loses income.
- Missed appointments leave a hole. A gap in the diary that nobody fills because nobody sees it until the day.
- Treatment plans stall halfway. Course started, second visit never booked, and nothing anywhere is raising a hand about it.
- The diary does not reflect the surgery. Chair time, clinician time and room time are not the same thing, and most systems pretend they are.
- What the practice actually earned takes a day to work out. Split across clinicians, plan and private, and reconstructed monthly by hand.
What we build instead
Marchmont Dental is one of the systems on our home page. It is illustrative, but the shape is real, and every part of it below is a screen that exists.
A diary that matches the surgery
Chairs, clinicians and rooms as separate things, because that is what they are.
Recalls that send themselves
Due, reminded, booked. It happens whether or not the front desk had a quiet morning.
Gaps that get filled
A cancellation raises a short list of the people who wanted an earlier slot, before the gap sits there.
Treatment plans that finish
A course that has stalled between visits is flagged rather than quietly forgotten.
Patients in one record
History, plans, correspondence and payments against the patient, not across three systems.
Income you can see
By clinician, by plan and private, live, instead of reconstructed at the end of the month.
Why not one of the off-the-shelf ones
If your practice runs the way the mainstream systems assume, use one. They are mature, they are supported, and they are cheaper than us. This is for practices whose shape keeps meeting the edge of what those systems allow.
| Team size | Typical per-seat tool | Over three years |
|---|---|---|
| 5 people | around £55 a seat | about £10,000 |
| 15 people | around £55 a seat | about £30,000 |
| 30 people | around £55 a seat | about £59,000 |
The question is not whether the licence is cheap. It is what you are working around every day, and what that costs you in evenings.
How it works
We learn how you actually run. Usually a couple of calls. If it suits you we will come and spend a day watching the work move through the company.
You see it before you pay anything. We build the opening screens in your branding, with your words for things and demo data in them. Not a finished system, enough to see the shape of yours and tell us where it is wrong.
Then we build the real one. The monthly starts and takes three to six months depending on how much system there is. Every fortnight you are told where it is up to. One fee covers building it, running it, hosting it and improving it.
Worth a conversation about where your system gets in the way?
